Richard Engles

"With each presentation I hope to make the kids realise its important to be careful when out on the roads. You only get one chance to live life in a sensible way. One wrong step could change your life in many ways!!!!!!!"

Richard is a very enthusiastic guy, doesn't get bored too quickly, and basically enjoys pretty much everything he is doing and doesn't want to give up. He has Spina Bifida, a genetic disability from birth. A major part of his life is sport, sport and sport again - especially Wheelchair tennis.

After playing almost 10 years, Richard was selected for the under 18s Australian Juniors Team to play in a World Team Cup in 2005, the Australian Juniors were Runners Up. He also travels around Australia to various tournaments and hopes to compete overseas in the near future.
Besides Tennis Richard enjoys watching sports on TV - especially soccer, basketball, tennis and cricket. He also likes playing with his X-box or going to the beach.
