Sports Alive

Learning to surf is a great way to keep fit and it's also a lot of fun! But Manly Surf School students got a special surprise when Layne Beachley turned up to take their class.

Arrive alive is proud to have Layne as an ambassador who spreads our message that drinking and taking drugs then driving can wipeout more than your licence. Over the coming months Layne will speak with young drivers about how they can keep safe on the road so they Arrive alive which means they can take advantage of all the opportunities life brings their way - which might even be professional surfing!!

Layne sees surfing as a lot like driving - you need to be prepared, have your wits about you and always check out what's around you.

Layne ran through some of the basics including:-
Catching a Wave
Paddling on your Board, and
Popping Up
