Jordy Smith (South Africa) in action at the 2007 Central Coast Pro.

Jordy Smith (South Africa) overcame the stormy conditions on Finals day of the 2007 Central Coast Pro for his maiden ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) event victory at Soldiers Beach, defeating Neco Padaratz (Brazil), Tim Boal (France) and Rhys Bombacci (Gerringong, NSW) in the Final. Smith continued this great form throughout 2007 eventually finishing 1st overall on the gruelling ASP WQS tour, cementing his place on the elite 2008 ASP World Tour.

Current ASP World Tour Surfer Samantha Cornish (Byron Bay, NSW) was is unstoppable form at Soldiers Beach where she beat Brazilian duo Tais Almeida and Silvana Lima as well as New Zealander Paige Hareb in the Final for the 2007 Central Coast Pro Women's Crown.
