Sporting Achievements:
Michelle Calderara is a UNSW Ben Lexcen Scholar in the sport of Netball as well as a representative of the Penrith Panthers in the NSW State League Division 1. Her team finished 5th in the Waratah Cup and won the 2007 Open Division State Championships in Sutherland, and was awarded Penrith Panthers 2006/2007 Team of the Year.

Michelle has been a great asset for the UNSW Netball club. Apart from coaching the "Mobies" to the final in the Randwick Association, in 2007 Michelle was a weekly umpire, a lunchtime referee and captain of the UNSW AUG Team which won a Silver medal. Michelle has already been appointed manager for the 2008 East Coast Challenge and will be a key player for the UNSW team.

What does the "Arrive alive" message mean to you?
Promoting an initiative such as Arrive Alive is an excellent way to educate a large number of young people on a vital issue in society. Incorporating the message with the East Coast Challenge enables the athletes to think about issues, such as drink driving, before they occur on the numerous nights out after competitions
